Defragmanting MyTime

"An architect knows something about everything. An engineer knows everything about one thing."

A quote taken from 101 Things I learned in Architecture School by Matthew Frederick.

It is true.

It never crossed my mind that I would be researching on different kind of plants and its growing nature. That is the job for horticulture blokes, I thought.

Never thought that i would be studying the technology behind water desalination using salt water.

And the changes that happens to the dynamics of the beach when the tides are coming in and out.

And also about the effects of climate change to the world; rising sea level, crop production affected, coastal development affected.

Not to mention the advent technology of fibre optics in harnessing light to bring natural light to indoor spaces. All these are the field of science, which i tried to evade from learning after SPM. I thought architecture was much more relaxing (which is not true).

But still, i need to research on them in order to inform my architecture for this semester. Come to think of it, it is really good. It feels great to know bits of pieces of information. It makes u know the world ure living in.

On the other hand, it is quite shameful to know all these infos while i have limited knowledge regarding Islam. So little time have i spent on reading Islamic books.

Life need to be balanced; the worldly things goes up, the hereafter things should go up as well.

I guess there is no other option. Im gonna need to "defrag" my time usage so that i can have more "free space" for extra time.

[defragmanting...easier said than done]

Oh. Btw, Eid Mubarak to all. Taqabballahu minna wa minkum.
Selamat Hari Raya Maaf Zahir Batin! kepada semua yang membaca. Saya minta maaf byk2. Sungguh.

* apa itu tarbiyyah? Masih menyusun ayat.

mm..cthnya...structural engineer knows all about the structures, details, precise calculations, etc. An architect knows as well, but just as a general knowledge, not as much as an engineer.
