Design Studio 6

I've been occupied with this project last semester. It is a housing complex, designed for people who come to a Castlemaine. Located in the middle of town, it is surrounded by public buildings such as the town hall, school, church, community centre and police station. So, there are some concerns on the site's openness to the public AND its private-ness to the potential tenants. In this project, spaces surrounding the housing area was turned into public spaces and squares, whereas the inner pockets of spaces (due to the L-shaped plan of the housing blocks) provided private spaces for the residents.
